Stevens/Hopkins Pasture Walk

We all enjoyed supper and fellowship before we got down to business. Sometimes landowners sharing experiences and ideas with other landowners is the best information gained.

Keith Stevens and Les Hopkins shared past management and history of the their farm. They discussed the improvements they have made to the system and how those improvements have impacted their production.

Bob Howe, District Conservationist, NRCS, talks about proper installation and placement of underground freeze-proof livestock watering tanks.

Bob Howe brings out many good points aimed towards fine tuning pasture management and improved profits.

Jay Chism, Polk Co. Extension Agronomist, presented many good points concerning pasture weed control.
