Stevens/Hopkins Pasture Walk
| We all enjoyed supper and fellowship before we got down to business. Sometimes landowners sharing experiences and ideas with other landowners is the best information gained. |
Richard McConnell, Polk County SWCD, presented Les Hopkins with the long overdue Most Improved Grazier Award. |
| Keith Stevens and Les Hopkins shared past management and history of the their farm. They discussed the improvements they have made to the system and how those improvements have impacted their production. |

Getting 65 people to the field for the pasture tour proved to be a challenge, but with the help of some attendees we managed. What a great day for the tour and what a great group. |
| Bob Howe, NRCS District Conservationist, and Keith Stevens discuss the benefits of the the spring development with the group. |

Last stop on the tour was the installation of the two hole Stewart Concrete waterer. This installation has given Keith and Les many more options with fescue stockpile and winter feeding.
| Myron Hartsell, NRCS Resource Conservationist, Dallas County, demonstrates how producers can make floating braces using T-post. |
A special Thank You goes out to Keith Stevens and Les Hopkins and their families for hosting such a
wonderful pasture walk.
