Polk and Dallas County Water Festivals
One of our favorite activities related to conservation and education is the annual series of Water Festivals which the Dallas and Polk County SWCDs hold at the area schools. This interactive participatory activity is a fun way to educate the next generation about the importance of conservation and stewardship of natural resources. Other agencies partnering in this activity are the Missouri Department of Conservation, the University of Missouri Outreach and Extension Service, Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, and Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Watch this page for the dates of the 2003 Water Festivals in Polk and Dallas County and photos of those events.
